The National Alliance of Integrated AFib Centers
The National Alliance of Integrated AFib Centers (NAIAC) is a coalition of hospitals, physicians and treatment centers that use an integrated approach to treat cardiac arrhythmia.
The National Alliance of Integrated AFib Centers foster a synergy between cardiac specialties to provide a comprehensive and personalized approach to treating AFib, atypical in most settings.
NAIAC cardiothoracic surgeons work hand-in-hand with electrophysiologists, cardiologists and other providers to determine and deliver the best treatment based on each patient’s individual needs. Alliance members also partner together, across facility and practice boundaries, to share data, research and resources, all in an effort to improve education and to advance the treatment of Afib.
AFib Quality Database Launched 2016
In 2016 NAIAC announced the launch of its new registry database. Where member organizations where able to pool outcomes data in the NAIAC registry in an effort to help evaluate efficacy, improve quality and lower costs over time. Deidentified aggregated data was used to draw conclusions about best practices for the purposes of publication to help move the fiels of AFib treatment forward.
Comprehensive Treatment Options for all Types of Arrhythmia
Teams of electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and cardiothoracic surgeons have each earned reputations for providing proven and innovative methods to treat heart rhythm disorders, from antiarrhythmic drugs, to implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICDs), catheter ablation, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and hybrid procedures that focus on both the inside and outside of the heart to maximize success rates. Using these techniques and others many forms of Afib, previously thought to be incurable, can be managed eliminating the need for long-term medications and providing dramatic improvements to quality of life.
